Cats and dogs (part 6)

Cats and dogs make the world a better place. Following on from that logic, cats and dogs must also make a blog a better place!

So this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog pays tribute to cats and dogs with another blog post dedicated to our furry friends.

Let's get things rolling with some canine inspired relationship advice.

1) Find someone who looks at you the way this dog looks at the barbecue...

"Would you like your steak rare or well done?"
"Yes."

Cats and dogs (part 5)

National Pet Day falls on 11th April, so this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog pays tribute to our furry friends with another blog post on cats and dogs.

Cats and dogs make a welcome return to the Charles Fudgemuffin blog.
1) When you go to work each morning, your dog probably thinks you're going for a walk on your own for eight hours.

2) On a related note, the reason why dogs love destroying shoes is probably because they see humans putting them on before they leave the house.

Cats and dogs (part 4)

This week we got to celebrate National Pet Day, so in honor of cats and dogs, here's another collection of random feline and canine thoughts and observations.

"I love doughnuts! Er, I mean, I love my owner.""
1) If a dog jumps on your lap, it is because he loves you.
If a cat jumps on your lap, it is because your lap is warmer.

2) 'Meow' means 'woof' in cat.

3) When cat food and dog food is advertised as a 'new improved flavour', who tests it?

Cats and dogs (part 3)

Some people describe themselves as cat people. Some people think of themselves more as dog people. But whatever you are, cats and dogs are both totally cool pets, so in honour of our pets, here are a few more random thoughts and observations about cats and dogs.

"Shark! Come here, Shark!"
1) Taking a dog named Shark to the beach is a very bad idea.

2) Why can't you buy mouse flavoured cat food?

3) In the Toy Story universe, dog toys have a horrifying life.

Things that unintentionally made me laugh (part 1: 'Cute' dog names)

A cute dog, but what cute name can we give him?
This week's blog post focuses on a random website I came across one day which unintentionally made me laugh. To further explain, the website wasn't supposed to be funny, but my easily amused brain nevertheless found it very amusing.

The website in question was a website called 'Cute Dog Names', and as you might have already guessed, it's a website which generates a random selection of cute dog names for anyone looking for a cute name for their new puppy. It sounds like a cool idea, but I have to say, the website's idea of a cute dog name, and my idea of a cute dog name, are somewhat different.

To illustrate what I mean, take a look at some of the allegedly 'cute' dog names it suggested...

Cats and dogs (part 2)

A full day in honour of me! Wow!
This week saw the celebration of National Pet Day on April 11th, so in honor of our pets, here are a few more observations about cats and dogs.

1) If your house was on fire your dog would bark to wake you up to let you know of the danger. Your cat would quietly sneak out of the house.

2) Cats probably wonder why bottles of fizzy drinks are so angry whenever they're opened.

3) If you're over 30, you're older than every single cat and dog in the world.

Cats and dogs (part 1)

April 11th is National Pet Day, so in honor of our our pets, here are a few observation about cats and dogs.

"Meow!" "Woof!"
1) If you died at home, your dog would be found sitting next to your corpse looking sad. Your cat would be found sitting staring at its empty food bowl.

2) When the doorbell rings, why do dogs always assume it's for them?

3) Why does Goofy stand on two legs when Pluto stands on four legs? They're both dogs.

Most popular dog names

The most popular dog name is Bella, which is also
the name of one of my parents' dogs (pictured above).
Bella by name and Bella by nature.
Will we be saying goodbye to Fido, Rover and ... Sigmund? Read on to find out.

If you're a pet lover from the US then this coming Monday you get to celebrate National Pet Day! Or if you're from the UK then you get a full month to celebrate pets, as the entire month of April is National Pet Month!

UK pet lovers even get a couple of bonus days in May, as rather greedily, National Pet Month runs from 1st April to 2nd May!
