Ezra: The Elimination Of Suffering Robot |
"The Elimination of Suffering Project have created a robot known affectionately as Ezra, with the primary objective of eliminating suffering.
However, it quickly becomes apparent that Ezra has a controversial approach to 'eliminating suffering'..."
Anyway, to promote the book, this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog takes a robot themed look at pareidolia.
That's just a fancy way of saying that this week's blog post features photos of inanimate objects that look like robots.
1) Death robot
This speed camera looks like some sort of homicidal robot from the future.

If I saw a speed camera like this, then I certainly wouldn't risk speeding!
He reminds me a little of Ezra from my book 'Ezra: The Elimination Of Suffering Robot'.
Okay, no more spoilers.
2) Robot commuter
Next up, here's a robot man sitting on the bus.

He looks like he's reflecting on his life and thinking, "Where did it all go wrong?"
Fans of Futurama will recognise Bender the robot sneaking up on a village in the painting below.
In all seriousness, it's a lovely painting. I can understand why Bender chose it to hide in!
Here's a robot looking extremely bored. He reminds me a little of Marvin the paranoid android from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
"I got so bored after watching the Earth rotate that after twenty four hours I called it a day."
This next robot looks absolutely shocked at something. Maybe it's because he's misplaced his dentures somewhere?"
"Who stole my false teeth!?"
To round things off, here's a sad robot with a runny nose.
I can't help but wonder, why did they give him such a short nose? Surely it would make it really awkward to wash your hands under the running water when his nose barely extends into the sink?
Editor's note: "Charles, it's not actually a runny nose. It's just a tap/faucet* which looks like a nose."
Charles: "Just as well! If it was a runny nose, I certainly wouldn't want to wash my hands under it!"
