10 riddles to celebrate National Riddle Day (part 2)

Today is National Riddle Day, so to celebrate, this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features another collection of fiendish riddles.

Another batch of riddles served up for
National Riddle Day.

1) Parent riddle


A doctor and a scientist went for a walk through a national park. One of them was the father of the other's son.

How was this possible?




2) Delicate riddle


What is so delicate that saying it's name breaks it?




Strictly speaking, this is the symbol for infinity,
not eternity, but it's close enough.

3) Eternity riddle


I am the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end, and the end of every place.

What am I?




4) Silent riddle


What's a 5 letter word where 4 of the letters are silent?


"Call."


5) Bodyless riddle


What has a head and a tail, but has no body?




6) Bird riddle


Ten birds were sitting in a tree and a hunter shot one. How birds many were left in the tree?




7) Shared riddle


What is it that if you have, you want to share it, and if you share, you no longer have?

A clock.

You are found guilty of treason and sentenced to death. You have to choose one of the following rooms:

Lion: "Don't worry. I'm not hungry. I'm just yawning."

Room 1: A firing squad.
Room 2: 50 assassins with lethal swords.
Room 3: A room full of hungry lions that haven't eaten for 6 months.

1) Parent riddle


A doctor and a scientist went for a walk through a national park. One of them was the father of the other's son. How was this possible?

They were husband and wife.


Masked person: "Shush! Don't break the silence!"
Observant reader: "How about you follow your own advice?"


2) Delicate riddle


What is so delicate that saying it's name breaks it?

Silence.




3) Eternity riddle


I am the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end, and the end of every place. What am I?

The letter E.

5) Bodyless riddle

A coin.

Ten birds were sitting in a tree and a hunter shot one. How birds many were left in the tree?

None. After one bird got shot, all the other birds would fly away!

What is it that if you have, you want to share me, and if you share, you no longer have?

A secret.

When does 10 + 3 = 1?


On a clock.




9) Never arriving riddle


What is always coming, but never arrives?

Tomorrow.




10) Death riddle


You are found guilty of treason and sentenced to death. You have to choose one of the following rooms:

Deadly assassins.
Room 1: A firing squad.
Room 2: 50 assassins with lethal swords.
Room 3: A room full of hungry lions that haven't eaten for 6 months.

Which room should you pick?


Room 3 because the lions would be dead if they hadn't eaten for 6 months.
