10 weird websites

Previously on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog I've featured all manner of weirdness, including, to name but a few, weird national days, weird google searches, and weird facebook likes. This week the weirdness continues with another weird round-up as I take a look at ten weird websites...

1) Infinite zoom

The image just keeps zooming in and zooming in forever.
If you're into art then you might find this first website absolutely amazing. I'm not really that interested in art, and I still found it amazing!

It starts with an unusual image, which starts to zoom in. After a few seconds you begin to realise that it's zooming in further than you thought, and then before long you realise that it's apparently zooming in forever!

2) Fake hacking website

Initializing...
If you're in a library, an internet cafe or similar public location using the internet, and you want people to think you're an anti-establishment hacker, or maybe even a black hat CIA hacker spying on innocent citizens*, then head to the following website and just start typing random letters:

geektyper.com/scp

* Top tip for any bloggers who want to increase your blog traffic. Mention the CIA every few months in a blog post, and mysteriously, your blog traffic will increase for the next few months. And strangely, all of your new traffic will come from Langley, Virginia. Hmm...

3) Is my computer on?

Are you the forgetful type of person who is always forgetting to turn off your computer? Then this next website is just for you! It's a website which tells you whether or not your computer is on. I tested it on my computer and the results were 100% accurate!

Give it a try below:

Slap!

4) Eel slap

Have you ever wanted to slap someone with an eel? Then this next website is just what you've always dreamed of!

As the name suggests, the 'eel slap' website lets you slap a man with an eel ... as fast or as slow as you like! Just wiggle your mouse from right to left, or left to right, to control the eel.

There it is!

5) Find your mouse pointer

If you're the sort of person who is always losing track of where their mouse pointer is, then this next website is ideal for you. Click the link below, then move your mouse to a random point on the screen, and the website will bring up a photograph of someone pointing to where your mouse pointer is!

You can repeat the process and move your mouse pointer around to a few different locations, and each time the website will bring up various photos with people pointing to your mouse pointer in every location you choose.

6) Pin the glasses on the head

Pin the wig on the bald head.
One of the later stages.
It's hard to know exactly how to describe this next website, except to say that it's extremely weird, and whoever created it obviously has a strange mind.

It starts off as as sort of 'pin the tail on the donkey' game using glasses and a head instead of a donkey and a tail, but then gets increasingly weird. Just when you think you've reached the end of the weirdness, if you keep clicking the right spot on the screen you'll discover more and more weirdness.

Please note, the above website requires flash player, so make sure your flash player is up to date before checking it out.

7) Patience is a virtue

This next website is probably my favorite of them all. I takes a while to load, but once it finally loads, it's extremely impressive! I won't reveal what happens, so as not to spoil the surprise, but trust me, it's definitely worth the wait!

This is my own stickman being attacked by an evil dragon.

8) Draw a stickman

Drawing a stickman sounds like a pretty basic form of entertainment. However, this next website has made it into quite an interesting little game.

You start by drawing a stickman, and then your stickman gets to take part in various episodes which involve drawing various props to help your stickman progress.

9) Will robots take my job?

Do you lay awake at night worrying that robots are going to take your job? Well worry no more, thanks to the 'Will robots take my job?' website! Just enter your job and find out the percentage chance that robots will take your job in the future!

willrobotstakemyjob.com

You'll be pleased to know that there's only a 4% chance that robots will take the place of authors in the future!

The screen licking pug

10) The screen licking pug

Finally, this last website is one which I've featured before on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog, but it's such a cool website that it deserves another mention.

It's the screen licking pug, and as the name suggests, it features a cute little pug licking your computer screen!

Update: Sadly, the screen licking pug website is no longer active. However, if you'd like to see what it looked like, here's a YouTube video which features the screen licking pug on a loop for 18 minutes.
