Inception

Inception is a movie about a dream within a dream, but dreams aren't the only things that can be found within themselves, as this week's blog post demonstrates...

1) Dogception

From dreams within a dream, to a dog within a dog.

Here's a rather cool looking dog that was born with a selfie of itself on its ear.

Apparently, if you zoom in you can find another smaller dog hidden on the ear in the selfie on the dog's ear. #NotReally

Still though, two dogs for the price of one sounds like a good deal to me.

Random movie silliness (part 2)

It's the Oscars this week, so that makes it the perfect time to feature another round up of movie themed thoughts, memes and jokes.

Random movie silliness!

It's the Oscars this weekend, an annual celebration where the phonies of Hollywood come together to pat themselves on the back for all their services towards hypocrisy and dishonesty.

If the smug arrogance of the Oscars leaves you feeling nauseated, then as a movie related alternative, this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features random movie silliness!

Lost in translation: Foreign movie titles

Previously on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog, I've featured movies where the Chinese translated title got more than a little lost in translation. This week I spread the net slightly further afield as I take a look at weirdly translated movie titles from all around the world...

"You're going to need a bigger blog."

1) Jaws

As I'm sure everyone knows, Jaws was a blockbuster movie about a deadly shark that terrorised the fictional New England island of Amity Island. It was a great title, and arguably the perfect way to capture the scary essence of the movie.

However, the French movie title, while not quite as catchy, was nevertheless also very appropriate because in France Jaws was known as 'The Teeth Of The Sea'.

Lost in translation: Chinese movie titles

In China, many Hollywood movies are given names which translate somewhat differently from the original title.

Here are a few examples which I found quite amusing...

"One Night, Big Belly"

1) Knocked Up

Rather amusingly, when Knocked Up was released in China it was known as 'One Night, Big Belly'.

I suppose that technically it's true!

Knocked Up > One Night, Big Belly
