To all normal people though, 'wikipedia vandalism' refers to:
"Editing a wikipedia page for a bit of a laugh!"
Here are a few examples of
1) Batman
One of my favourite examples of wikipedia vandalism is perhaps also one of the most childish. It's an edit which was made to the Batman page...

As an added bonus, when you edit a wikipedia page you can leave a brief description of the changes you made, so the Batman vandaliser has kindly explained what they did ... just in case it's not clear to anyone!

2) Newcomb by name...
This next example of wikipedia vandalism appeals to me because of its downright silliness!

3) Wise advice!
One wiki vandal edited the entry for 'List of serial killers' to include some wise advice...

4) Creative vandalism
When Adam Boyd turned up late to see British rock band, The Sherlocks, he found himself with a rubbish view. So Adam decided to get creative, and edited the band's wiki page to say he was a cousin of the singer! His bluff worked, and after showing the wikipedia page to security for 'proof', he got moved to the VIP section!

Adam wrote about his experience on facebook:

"So last night I went to see a band, but we got in late and our view was *****. In my drunken state I edited the band's Wikipedia page to say I was family, and it worked! I got into the roped off VIP area because of it 😂 Mental"
I guess the moral of the story is you definitely shouldn't trust what you read on wikipedia!

5) Best country ever!!!!
I suspect whoever made this next wikipedia edit was either being sarcastic, or perhaps they work for the UN who seem to be very talented at turning a blind eye to human rights abuses...

Finally, this last entry is either a very clever example of wikipedia vandalism, or perhaps they suffered from a case of, em ... that thing when you can't think, er ... you can't think of ... oh, it's on the tip of my tongue.
