Captcha memes and jokes

One thing I find annoying about the internet is having to fill out captchas to prove I'm not a robot.

However, the good news is that although this week's blog post features several captchas, you won't have to fill any of them out, because the captchas below aren't real captchas. They're just silly memes!

1) Bugs captcha

At first glance, any insect experts reading this* may think that the following captcha is right up their street. However, closer inspection reveals that the captcha is targeted more towards computer programmers, rather than entomologists.

* Of which I'm sure there are many.

"Select all squares with bugs."

2) Captcha warning

If robots can't identify traffic lights and sign posts, then maybe self-driving cars are a bad idea!

3) Doughnut captcha

Here's a tricky captcha which I suspect robots would actually find hard to solve.

"Select all images containing doughnuts."

4) Catcha for geniuses

Internet 'are you human?' tests are getting a lot trickier nowadays...

"To prove you are a human, please answer the following math challenge."

5) Snoop Dogg captcha

Here's another dog themed captcha. Well ... kind of.

That dog in the top left photo has really captured his expression!

"To prove you are a human, please answer the following question..."

Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella?
Fo drizzle.

6) Robot or human?

Why did Mark Zuckerberg create facebook?*
He couldn't pass the captcha for My Space.

* Allegedly.

7) Complaining captcha

Finally, I'm feeling in a generous mood, so I'll give you a clue for this last captcha. You only need to select one of the images...

On a final note, captcha stands for 'Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart'.

So if you included every word in the acronym, then the correct spelling would be capttttcaha!

If you're a robot who gets frustrated at being unable to read webpages that are protected by captcha, then good news! My short story, 'The Android', has no captcha requirements to read it, and it's available from Amazon for both humans and robots!
