Controversial Christmas questions

Here on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog I've regularly featured Christmas themed blog posts every Christmas, and I've also occasionally featured blog posts on controversial questions. However, this week I combine the two, as I take a look at controversial Christmas questions.

Merry Christmas from Charles Fudgemuffin!
Where do you stand on the following controversial Christmas questions?

1) When should you put your Christmas decorations up?

I'm a big fan of Christmas decoarations. Last Christmas on the way to work I used to walk past a street where every house was done out in spectacular Christmas decorations, and it looked impressive and always put me in a good mood (at least until I got to work!).

However, when is the optimum time to put your decorations up?

Brussels sprouts.
The marmite of Christmas dinners.

2) Are you a fan of Brussels sprouts?

Brussels sprouts are an established part of Christmas dinner, but they can be a bit like Marmite in that you either love them or hate them. I have to admit I'm not a fan, but how will the vote go?

What's your opinion of Brussels sprouts?

3) Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?

This is perhaps one of the most controversial Christmas questions included in this entire batch of controversial Christmas questions.

Many weak-minded politically correct people prefer the term 'Happy Holidays', whereas traditionalist non-insane people prefer 'Merry Christmas'. But how will the vote go?

What is the correct greeting to wish someone at Christmas?

Editor's note: "Charles, you forgot to include Happy Holidays as an option.
Charles: "Yes, I know. People who say Happy Holidays are *******!"

influencing the vote with a photo featuring one of the voting options.

4) What should go on the top of the Christmas tree?

Whether you prefer a real Christmas tree or a plastic Christmas tree, all Christmas trees should have a decoration on top.

There are a number of options available, but what's your preference? A star, an angel, or a fairy?

And finally, perhaps the most controversial Christmas question of all...

5) Is Santa Claus real?

Whoever lives at this house certainly thinks that Santa is real!
I used to work with a woman who remembered pondering on this very question when she was young, and she came to the conclusion, "As long as you still get your presents, who cares!?" Perhaps she's got a point.

Anyway, anyone who's read the book 'Santa and the Naughty Elf' by my younger brother, Charles Fudgemuffin Jr, will know that of course Santa is real! However, for the benefit of anyone who hasn't read the book yet, where do you stand on the debate?

Is Santa Claus real, or are you a humbug who thinks it's just your parents?

If all this controversial Christmas chat has got you fired up, then why not relax by reading 'Santa and the Naughty Elf' by Charles Fudgemuffin, Jr, available for kindle from Amazon.
