Random Star Wars thoughts

This coming Friday is Star Wars Day (May 4th), so in honour of Star Wars Day here are a few random Star Wars thoughts:

Ffffkrrrrshhzzzwooooom ... woom ... woooom.

1) In the light saber battle at the end of The Empire Strikes Back, Darth Vader cuts off Luke's right hand.

However, it wasn't all bad news for Luke, because he would still be able to type Star Wars on a keyboard! That's because all of the letters in 'Star Wars' are on the left hand side of the keyboard!


2) Why don’t jedis use the force to press the button and turn off their opponent’s lightsabers?


3) Luke Skywalker would have looked like a right idiot if he had missed his shot on the Death Star after he turned off his targeting computer.


4) My son Luke loves that I named all of our children after Star Wars characters. My daughter Chewbacca, however, is less thrilled.


5) That bartender in the cantina should have installed captcha on his front door if he was really serious about keeping droids out.

6) Wookies have a 400 year life span, so Han Solo is basically like Chewbacca's third dog.


7) The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars movie where its episode number also matched its order of release. It was episode 7 and it was the seventh Star Wars movie to be released.

It will also be the last and only Star Wars movie where its episode number will match its order of release. Episode 8 was the ninth Star Wars movie to be released, and Episode 9 will be the 11th Star Wars movie to be released.


8) Given that Tatooine has two suns, why don't the people on Tatooine cast two shadows?

"Phew! Lucky I was wearing my armour! Oh, wait..."

9) Also, when you consider that Luke Skywalker lived on a desert planet with two suns, you'd expect him to have more of a sun tan.


10) What is the point of strormtrooper armour?  It literally does nothing!  If they were shot and didn't die then you could understand the benefit of it, but it literally provides no protection at all.
