Weird forums on the web (part 3)

Previously on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog I've highlighted weird forums dedicated to such surprising subjects as pencil sharpeners, cardboard boxes, and even kebabs.

This week it's time to look at a few more forums, starting with a forum which I'm sure many readers will be delighted to hear about...

1) Pallet-boards

Pallet-boards.
The inspiration for many fascinating discussions.
Are you a fan of pallet-boards?  Have you longed for an online forum to discuss your pallet-board passion with other pallet-board enthusiasts?  Then I've got some good news!  You're in luck!  A pallet-board forum exists!

www.palletforum.com

Current threads on the forum include such riveting subjects as 'The advantages of a free fumigation pallet making machine', 'The effective utilisation of wood chips', and one which I'm sure will be of interest to all pallet-board enthusiasts, 'The future developing trend of the molded wood pallet machinery market'.

Believe it or not, the pallet-board forum is surprisingly popular, and at the time of writing, there are several forum threads with over a 1,000 views!

And if you're worried about the level of professionalism on the pallet-board messageboards, then I can put your mind at ease with this reassuring quote from the website...

'Our staff including Dr. Ed Brindley, renowned Pallet Expert, and Jeff McBee, Pallet Market Analyst, can help answer your questions.'

I have to admit I didn't realise that the job of 'Pallet Market Analyst' existed, but it's nice to know it's possible to turn such a surprising passion into a way to make a living.

2) Toilet Paper

Toilet paper.
Even more popular than pallet-boards!
I was surprised to find a forum dedicated to pallet-boards, but I was even more surprised to discover there are actually people who talk about toilet paper on the internet!  In fact a quick Google search for 'toilet roll forum' reveals that there are several forum threads on the internet discussing toilet roll!

Here are some of the toilet paper subjects people discuss.  To begin with, one person asked the simple question...

'Where do you buy your toilet roll?'

I find it really bizarre that if you wanted to buy some toilet paper you would think, 'Hmm, I know!  I'll go the internet and ask other people where they buy their toilet roll!'

Surely you just go to the shop and buy some!

Another frugal forum user asked the question...

'How can I ration toilet roll?'

Someone responded with the reply...

'Ha, ha.  I thought this was a joke!'

...but no, it was a serious question! Apparently they had a visitor who used an abnormal amount of toilet roll, so they wanted ideas for how to diplomatically suggest that their guest cut down on their toilet paper usage.

3) Rust

Wow!  Look at the rust on that!
Finally, this last one is a website, not a forum, but it's quite unusual so I thought I'd stretch the rules and include it anyway.  The website in question is dedicated to...

'Rust'

Yes, that's right.  Rust.  That stuff you find on old metal.  Apparently rust is so popular that it has its own website, featuring sections such as 'Rust Images', 'Visitor Submissions' and my favorite section...

'Rust News'

A section dedicated to news about rust.

If you have any photos of rust which you'd like to share with other rust enthusiasts, or if you simply want to look at other people's photos of rust, then check out the 'Rusted' website.

Update: Sadly, the pallet forum and rust website no longer appear to be active, but the toilet roll discussions are still up and running.
