10 funny quiz show answers (part 8)

One theme I like to feature on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog from time to time is funny quiz show answers, so here's another selection of silly answers from quiz show contestants who didn't win the point, but did bring a chuckle to my face.

Pots in a pot.

1) "Name a musical instrument you can play in the bath."
"A drum kit."



2) "In the abbreviated names of fruit and vegetables often seen in greengrocers, the word 'pots' is short for which word?"
"Pottery."



3) "Name something you have more than two of on your body."
"Arms."

"One hot step for a man.
One giant leap for mankind."

Here's a question that Christopher Biggins was asked on Tipping point, and his answer must be a contender for one of the most stupid answers ever in the history of quiz shows...

4) "Except for the Earth, what is the only other celestial body in the Solar System that man has set foot on?"
"The Sun"



5) "Name a number you might have to memorise."
"Seven."



For this next question, the host tried to give the contestant some help...

6) Presenter: "On which street did Sherlock Holmes live?"
Contestant: "Er..."
Presenter: "He makes bread."
Contestant: "Er.."

Leonardo DiCaprio, the famous painter.

Presenter: "He makes cakes."
Contestant: "Kipling Street?"



7) "Name a vocalist known only by one name."
"Michael Jackson."



8) "Who painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel?"
"Leonardo DiCaprio."



9) "Name a time that most people get up."
"Morning."

"I'd like two apples, three oranges, and some pottery, please."

Finally, this last question was featured on a radio show, and once again the host tried to give the contestant a clue, but to no avail...

10) DJ: "What creature squirts a smelly unpleasant fluid at its enemies?"
Caller: "A snake."
DJ: "No, I'll give you a clue ... it's black and white."
Caller: "A bee."
