Elf on the shelf quiz

If you're a fan of Elf On The Shelf, and you're also a fan of quizzes, then you're in the perfect place! That's because this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features a quiz based on festive rhyming variations of the Elf On The Shelf theme.

Have a look at the following pictures, and see if you can work out what each picture is. And as an added bonus, I've also included a related joke with each image.

1) Here's an easy one to start things off...

Why don't Chinese kids believe in Santa?

Because they make the toys.

Technically true

Truth seems to be going out of fashion these days, but that's a trend we intend to fight against here at the Charles Fudgemuffin blog.

That's because this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog takes a look at answers which were perhaps not what you expected, but nevertheless, technically true.

1) Weight loss truth

To start things off, here's a rather extreme weight loss method...

"What's the fastest way you've ever lost weight?"
"Got a leg amputated."

On a similar note, many years ago when I was in Africa I caught malaria, and that also led to very fast weight loss, although not quite as fast as getting a leg amputated thankfully.

Legal disclaimer: The Charles Fudgemuffin blog strongly advices against getting your leg amputated or catching malaria as a way of losing weight. If I wanted to lose weght, I would personally try regular exercise and avoiding man-made processed foods, although that's not legal advice. That's just common sense.

Five stupid sayings (part 7)

The English language has many sayings that are wise and make a lot of sense. However, it also contains a selection of silly sayings that make no sense. From time to time, the Charles Fudgemuffin blog likes to take a look at some of these silly sayings, and this week is one such occasion.

1) I know it like the back of my hand.

"Wow! Buried treasure! I never noticed that before."
I have to admit I don't really pay much attention to the back of my hand, so for research purposes, when I was writing this I actually took the time to examine the back of my hand. And while doing so, I surprisingly noticed a small birthmark which I never knew I had!

So if I was to say, 'I know it like the back of my hand,' that would be the equivalent of saying, 'I don't know it very well at all.'
