The AI Idiot Awards

I've featured the Idiot Awards on several previous occasions on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog. However, it's not just humans who can be idiots, it's AI too! In fact recently I seem to be coming across so many examples of AI acting like an idiot that I feel like AI deserves its own category of Idiot Awards.

So with that in mind, this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog highlights a number of examples of AI acting in a rather foolish manner.

1) Hidden idiot

Here's an artistic example to start things off. As you can see, somone asked AI to make a 'Where's Waldo' picture, and this is the image that AI came up with...

"Have fun trying to spot the character!"

Hmm, that's a tricky one. I wonder where he could be. Has anyone managed to spot him?

Top tips for dogs (and their owners)

If you're a dog who's looking for some useful advice, then you've come to the right place! That's because this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features a round-up of top tips for dogs.

Also, if you're a dog owner, rather than a dog, then you're also in the right place, as I've also included a few top tips for dog owners, so hopefully there should be something here for everyone.

Anyway, without further ado, let's get straight on with the tips...

1) Hungry dogs. Steal a doughnut the same color as your fur and then sit really still. That way, your owners will never notice.

"If I don't move, and just stare straight ahead, then I think I'll get away with it."

2) Dog owners. Convince your dog you've invented a death machine by switching on your vacuum cleaner.

Cakes gone wrong (part 3)

Most people like cake, and that includes me. However, one thing I like even more than cake, is photos of cakes gone wrong.

This week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features a few examples of cakes that didn't quite turn out exactly as expected.

1) Weeding cake

I love spending time in the garden, but surely ordering a cake to celebrate doing the gardening is going a bit over the top...

"Congratulations on your weeding!"

Editor's note: "Charles, I think it was supposed to say, 'Congratulations on your wedding.'"
Charles: "Oh, right. Yeah, that makes more sense. Although I have to say, it is really satisfying when you've got rid of all the weeds."

Liars caught in the act (part 3)

This week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog focuses on the implications of AI based decision making on the future of space exploration, paying particular attention to the challenges and opportunities presented, as well as the technological and logistical hurdles faced.

Actually, that's not true. That was a lie. Oops, caught in the act!

By a fortunate coincidence*, what this week's blog post actually takes a look at is other liars who were also caught in the act.

* Actually, that was another lie. As you may have guessed, it wasn't a coincidence at all. It was actually quite deliberate.

Metaphors

It really annoys me when people get their metaphors mixed up. I mean, come on! It's not rocket surgery!

Anyway, if you're looking for amusing metaphors*, then you've come to the right place, because this week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog takes a lighthearted look at metaphors.

* As long as you're not too picky about the actual definition of a metaphor.

1) Butter metaphor

In related news, a lot of people consider me to be the margarine of comedy.

I tell a joke and they can’t believe it’s not better.
