To turn things into a bit of a quiz, I've withheld the names of each celebrity, so see if you can recognise the celebrity featured in each photo. To start things off, I pity the fool who can't recognise the celebrity in this first photo...
* As regular readers of the Charles Fudgemuffin may remember, pareidolia is the phenomenon of seeing faces (or other items) in everyday objects and patterns.
1) This first photo features a celebrity who is definitely not getting on a plane...
"I ain't getting on no plane!" |
2) Can you recognise the miserable feline spotted inside this apple?
"What a grump!! |
3) If you look closely, you may be able to spot a certain robot from Futurama sneaking up on this village...
"Bite my shiny metal a**." |
4) Any fans of American kids TV shows might recognise this next celebrity puppet who was spotted hanging out in the back of a van...
"A friend is someone you'd give up your last c****e for." |
Editor's note: "Charles, you're making the clues too easy!"
Charles: "Ed, you're missing the point. It's just meant to be a bit of fun. It's not a test!"
5) To ensure British viewers don't feel left out, here's a former British kids TV character from the 70s/80s who has reinvented himself as a chair...
"Paint the whole world with a rainbow..." |
6) This plastic bathroom valve looks like a cartoon character from a much chillier era...
If you haven't been able to work out who the celebrities were, then scroll down the page for the answers...

For the benefit of any readers who didn't recognise the celebrities, here are some side by side photos comparing the pareidolic image with the real celebrity!
1) Mr T
A side by side comparison. On the left, a tape that looks like Mr T, and on the right, the real thing! |
2) Grumpy Cat
Cheer up, Grumpy Cat! |
3) Bender from Futurama
The real Bender, and a pareidolic image of Bender hiding in the bushes. |
4) Cookie Monster
"Cookies!!!" |
5) Bungle from British kids TV show Rainbow
"Up above the trees and spouses..." |
6) Sid from the movie Ice Age
For the benefit of anyone who can't tell the two images apart, the real Sid is pictured in the bottom image. |
I'm a big fan of random objects that look like faces, so I'll no doubt feature more faces in things in a future blog post.
You can find more faces in things in the imaginatively titled blog posts below:
