Confusing perspective

This week the Charles Fudgemuffin blog features a selection of photos which may, at first glance, not be quite what they seem...

1) Flying ships

Is this what we have to look forward to in the future? Ships that can fly?

As you've probably worked out, the ships are actually on a lake, but at first glance my brain thought they were flying in the sky.

2) Invasions of the giants

Here's a giant girl standing on the edge of a lake.

Of course, she's actually standing on the edge of the cliff in the foreground, so she may not be a giant, but she is extremely brave (or foolish).

3) Blowing people over in the snow

Sometimes the confusing perspective has been deliberately created by the photographer. Here's one such clever example...

Well, I'm assuming the photo was created using a confusing perspective. Either that or he's a giant with super powered breath strength.

4) Long armed man

Wow, look at the length of his arms!

And look at how big his smile is as well! He's obviously really happy with his long arms.

5) Hello, hello. I'm at a place called...

This next photo gave me an uncomfortable feeling of vertigo.

It's another one where the confusing perspective has been deliberately created by the photographer obviously, and you have to say they've done a brilliant job, at least in my case, because I start to feel a bit sick if I stare at it for too long.

6) Invisible Man

Finally, here's a photo of the invisible man pictured on the subway.
